The Anti-Ragging Cell is a dedicated body committed to ensuring a ragging-free environment on our campus. We aim to provide a safe and nurturing space for all students, free from any form of ragging or harassment. Our primary objective is to create awareness, prevent incidents of ragging, and take prompt action in case of any reported incidents.

Our Mission :-

The mission of the Anti-Ragging Cell is to create a college community where every individual is treated with respect and dignity. We are determined to eliminate ragging, as it goes against our core values of inclusivity, empathy, and personal growth. We strive to foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages positive interactions, bonding, and holistic development among students.

Objectives :-

• To ensure the strict implementation of the UGC regulations and guidelines on ragging prevention.
• To promote awareness and educate students about the consequences and impact of ragging through orientation programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
• To establish proactive measures and systems to prevent incidents of ragging within the college premises.
• To provide a platform for students to report incidents of ragging confidentially and without fear of reprisal.
• To conduct inquiries and investigations into reported incidents of ragging and take appropriate action as per college policies and legal provisions.
• To provide support and counseling to the victims of ragging and facilitate their rehabilitation and well-being.
• To collaborate with relevant authorities, including the local police, to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.

Anti-Ragging Measures :-

• Strict Guidelines: Vinayak Vidnyan Mahavidyalaya adheres to the guidelines and regulations set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the state government to prevent and eradicate ragging.
• Orientation Programs: We conduct comprehensive orientation programs for new students to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging, the college's policies, and the disciplinary consequences associated with it.
• Awareness Campaigns: Regular awareness campaigns are organized throughout the academic year to promote a positive and ragging-free environment. These campaigns include posters, banners, workshops, and interactive sessions.
• Monitoring and Surveillance: The college premises are regularly monitored to identify any potential ragging activities. CCTV cameras are strategically placed to enhance the safety and security of the campus.
